Now that the dust has settled, we’ve had time to gather our thoughts on the ending of Kingdom Hearts 3, to put together some coherent theories on where the characters and the series as a whole ended up in the wake of the explosive finale. Sora and the gang head to the Keyblade Graveyard to meet up with Xehanort and his 13 ships to start the Keyblade War. At this point, Sora has rescued both Aqua and Ventus, which means there are seven keyblade wielders ready to take on the 13 ships of darkness. Sora faces a group of enemies. It’s important to note that while we see everyone die, the game goes out of its way to show you that one of the participants in the boss battle, Xigbar, escapes. Sora then rescues Roxas, Xion and Terra and defeats the three main villains of the entire franchise, namely Young Xehanort, Ansem and Xemnas.

Square Enix no ha dado ninguna pista al respecto -aparte de que tardará «algún tiempo»-, pero acaba de revelar que hay otros dos nuevos proyectos en marcha y que uno de ellos será revelado (o al menos bromeado) mañana.
Actualización: El nuevo juego se ha revelado como Project Xehanort para iOS y Android. Saldrá esta primavera y contará con microtransacciones, pero de momento no hay más información, sólo el eslogan: «¿Por qué se convirtió en el buscador de la oscuridad?».
Estamos seguros de que eso conlleva un montón de juegos para móviles y otros spin-offs más pequeños, pero el equipo de Kingdom Hearts Union χ (pronunciado Union Cross) tiene algo que anunciar mañana, mientras que uno de los equipos lanzará un nuevo juego «sorprendentemente pronto».
A pesar de todo, la expansión ReMind DLC de esta semana será la única para Kingdom Hearts 3 y no habrá una versión Final Mix como la de los juegos anteriores, ya que el equipo pasa a trabajar en Kingdom Hearts 4.
